ESOT is pleased to launch a new initiative to collate a library of robust research relating to COVID-19 vaccines and the transplantation community.

You will find two distinct categories within this library:

  1. General COVID-19 vaccine studies
  2. COVID-19 vaccine and transplantation studies

Within this resource, we hope to provide easy and quick access to important information on COVID-19 vaccines for transplant professionals. ESOT will continue to add new information and studies when they become available, so it is a growing library with the latest insight in this changing arena.

“Transplant patients are evidently most vulnerable to all infections including COVID-19 due to immunosuppression and other co-morbidities. They clearly need the best available protection against COVID-19, and we strongly believe that they should be in the priority groups for vaccination across Europe.
Furthermore, our patients and the broader transplant community deserve a sound update about published peer reviewed literature related to vaccination for COVID-19 especially for immunosuppressed and immunocompromised patients and the opportunity to appraise and discuss it.
We sincerely hope that this new ESOT initiative would be helpful for our healthcare professionals and patients.”
